2 New Character Classes for GuildWars (not guildwars 2)
Hello everyone this is Assyrian
I'm here to discuss an idea for 2 new Character Classes
I haven't thought of names or anything but basically one will be
another frontliner and the second will be a midliner.
for the first class I was thinking about a character that uses
Whips, so his attributes could be something like
Whip Mastery:
Hostility(primary) when target successfully hits with a critical attack gives all nearby allies 1 strike of adrenaline, 1 additional ally will be affected for each 3 points into Hostility, and 1 additional strike of adrenaline for every 6 ranks into Hostility.
the other 3 attributes I haven't really thought of and if you guys have any ideas please just leave me a message or something or PM me in game Assyrian Gabara is my IGN
anyway a possible skill for this whip class could be something like
Whiplash, Whip Attack/ This attack does +10-25 additional damage, if this attack is blocked it causes the target to suffer from a whiplash, stunning the target in place for 1-3 seconds.
and for the second Character Class it would be a gun using character
so again the attributes I haven't really thought of because I want opinions first
so obviously
Gun Mastery:
Accuracy(Primary): For every 3 points into Accuracy your Critical strike chance increases by 1.5 and you deal an additional 2 points of damage whenever you successfully hit with a critical attack.
so the question is would everyone like these Character Classes and would you be willing to level up from 1-20 again for them
I personally think being left with the current guildwars we have now for another year and a half or so until guildwars 2 is released everyone will be done and bored with guildwars 1 so if ArenaNet decides to do this I think would shorten the wait for guildwars 2... post your comments and opinions thanks alot

Theres a whole sub-forum for this. Least you could've done was put a little more thought into them.

Only took you nearly 10 minutes to post where it belongs after posting it here(and after I pointed it out to you). Obviously no one will mind you double posting this either.

Hi and welcome.
Much as I wish and hope for some sort of new content before the release of GW2, I dont wish for new classes. Sole reason is balance, something that Anet's been having trouble addressing. New classes have a tendency to raise unexpected issues and I'd simply rather the current outstanding ones get sorted out.
Guns would seem odd in GW. One can argue a sort of 14th c. sort of setting with rudimentary gunpowder technology and fantasy side by side. There have also been fantasy/sci-fi setting RPGs that have mixed technology with magic, and I've enjoyed them quite a bit. It just doesnt seem like it fits the GW setting even though its a very close logical step beyond the golems in EotN. Who knows for GW2 what sort of world they plan, but it seems to make sense to not incorporate it in GW (of course realizing they wont be adding a new class to GW anyway - we'll be lucky to see new content).

I like the idea of using a whip, gogo caster necromancer whip but...

This will destroy prot monks and would be crazily imbalanced. If a pve only skill it may be more balanced.
maybe as another attribute could be agility and make them pve only. whack caster armor on these guys and have for every point you have in agility you have an additional 1% chance of blocking attacks if a whip is equipped. Imbalanced as hell but seems like the type of thing these guys would do.
Maybe a robocop class. skill destruction: destroy all hostile creatures on radar. Oh wait thats ursanway.

I thought ArenaNet already said no more classes for gw1 and then inquired that we should sit in some major city in the game watching weirdoes try their hand at being a pixelated nakid dancer until next year when they come out with gw 2?
